The Management of Platforms Communications has felicitated and congratulated the newly elected executive officers of Women’s International Shipping And Trading Association (WISTA Nigeria) led by the Deputy Director and Head of Revenue of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) Dr Mrs Odunayo Ani.
Recall that the association had elected a new set of executive who would saddle the activities of the female body for the next two years following a keenly contested election held recently at the Association’s Secretariat in Lagos.
PLATFORM REPORTERS had reported that the following individuals were elected to lead WISTA Nigeria for a two year tenure:
1) President – Dr. Odunayo Ani
Deputy Director/Head Revenue , NIMASA.
2) Vice President – Captain Edidiong, Akpanebe Sola-Abalo, mni – Marine Coordinator/Pilot at SNEPCO.
3) Secretary – Mrs Lillian Mac-Jaja Nnegi, Assistant Director, Cabotage Vessels Financing Fund/Cabotage Secretariat Division, NIMASA.
4) Asst. Secretary- Mrs Oluwatoyin Oyeleke, Custom Broker/Rep, IFCBA, CRFFN.
5) Public Relations Officer – Mrs. Vivian Chimezie-Azubuike, Director General, Nigerian Chamber of Shipping.
6) Asst. PRO – Mrs Nneoma Obi-Asualo,
Anchor & Producer Maritime Radar on News Central TV.
7) Treasurer – Mrs. Hanna Adaba , Deputy Director , Nigerian Shippers Council.
8) Asst Treasurer – Mrs. Aisha Cole , Senior Editor, News Agency of Nigeria.
Speaking to the immediate past President of WISTA Nigeria, Mrs Eunice Ezeoke recently via the telephone, our correspondence gathered that the new executive officials have been decorated and sworn in to function in their respective offices.
Meanwhile, in a congratulatory message sent to WISTA Nigeria, the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Platforms Communications, Mr Sylvanus Obasi thanked the newly elected officials for making themselves available to serve the association in their respective capacities.
He prayed for God’s guidance and strength to enable the new executive pilot the affairs of the foremost maritime gender advocacy body to a greater height.
