Engineer Glory Omeaku is a seasoned and accomplished Marine Engineer with over 17 years of hands-on experience navigating and managing the complexities of maritime engineering. Her career is a testament to resilience, technical excellence, and an unrelenting passion for seafaring.
Engr.Glory began her educational journey at Montessori International Primary School in Abia State, laying a strong foundation for her future. Her maritime aspirations led her to the Maritime Academy of Nigeria (MAN Oron), where she obtained her National Diploma (ND) in 2003 and her Higher National Diploma (HND) between 2005 and 2007 in Marine Engineering.
Her professional career kicked off at International Continental of Shipping where she trained ashore as a cadet. Recognizing her potential, she was soon deployed onboard vessels operated by LTT Coastal and Marine Services, where she steadily rose through the ranks, demonstrating both technical capability and leadership.
Engr.Glory’s pursuit of academic excellence did not stop the engine room. In 2009, she earned her Ph.D. in Shipping Management and Logistics, a rare feat that complemented her practical experience with deep theoretical insights into global maritime operations. That same year, she obtained her Officer of the Watchkeeping (OOW) Certificate of Competence, officially becoming a certified marine engineer.
Driven by a commitment to professional growth, she continued to upgrade her seafaring credentials, achieving her 2nd Engineer’s license in 2020. In 2024, she earned the prestigious Class One Engineering License, the highest level of marine engineering certification, officially confirming her role as Chief Engineer.
Beyond her technical and academic qualifications, Chief Engineer Glory holds multiple professional certifications:
