January 26 each year, is known as International Customs Day. This is a day set out by World Customs Organisation to celebrate the roles and contributions of customs to global trade facilitation.
In Nigeria, the 2024 World Customs Day was well organised by the Nigeria Customs Service under the current Comptroller-General, Bashir Adewale. The occasion was well attended by various maritime dignitaries, including the Hon Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, H.E, Oyetola amongst others.
