Platforms Communications Felicitate Mrs Olotu For Bagging ‘Outstanding Woman In Ports Operations’ Award

The Management of Platforms Communications, a leading media company in the Nigerian maritime sector has congratulated and felicitated with Mrs. Bolanle Olufunmilayo Olotu, the retired Assistant General Manager, Tariff & Billing of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) and immediate past Port Manager of Lagos Port Complex, Apapa for being honoured will an Award as the Most Outstanding Woman in Ports Operations at an event held recently in Lagos.

In its message of felicitation, the Chief Executive Officer of Platforms Communications, Mr Sylvanus Obasi stated that “It’s note worthy that although she is retired, Mrs Olotu’s giant strides in the Nigerian Maritime space,  keep receiving acknowledgments and compliments”.

He added that the new award is a confirmation of her sterling performance and brilliant contributions to the development of efficient and effective port systems in Nigeria.

Meanwhile, PLATFORM REPORTERS gathered that in her acceptance speech after receiving the award, Mrs Olotu  charged women not to use their gender as an excuse to underperform in any position they found themselves.

The event was graced by Maritime and Energy doyennes including Mrs. Jean Chiazor Anishere (SAN); Dr. Mrs. Odunayo Ani, the newly elected WISTA President; Ms. Vivian Azubuike, DG Chamber of Shipping; Mrs. Tosan Edodo-Emore, a Maritime Lawyer; Mrs. Rollens Macfoy, WIMA President, among others.
