In about one month time, the Executive Vice Chairman/CEO, Nipal Consulting Network and Former Chairman, Nigeria’s Oil and Gas Free Zone Authority, Hon Dr Chris Asoluka will steer proceedings as Chairman of Occasion at the forth-coming 8th Annual Maritime Students And Youth Conference, an event also designed to mark 10th Anniversary of Platforms Communications, a leading news and entertainment company in the maritime sector.
PLATFORM REPORTERS gathered that the choice of Dr Chris Asoluka as Chairman of this occasion is very apt and seen as a wonderful reunion considering his key roles in shaping Platforms Communications during its early stages.
In a press statement issued by the organisers, Platforms Communications over the weekend and signed by the convener, Mr Sylvanus Obasi, he recalled how “Dr Asoluka delivered a captivating Lead Presentation during Platforms Communications 1st Anniversary event in 2015 tagged Maritime Platform National Discourse, with the theme, “Nigerian Maritime Sector In The Next 5 Years: Deciding Where We Want To Be”. The event was designed to set mid term agenda for the then new APC-led government”.
“A year after, when Platforms Communications birthed “A Day With Nigerian Maritime Students” now known as AMSAY Conference, Dr Asoluka was also there to make a Presentation. Again, during 3rd edition of AMSAY Conference in 2018, we called on him and he once again answered with yet another thought-provoking presentation as always.
“This time, Dr Asoluka returns to reunite with familiar faces of maritime dignitaries, students and young marine professionals although not as a Guest Speaker, but as Chairman of Occasion to steer activities of the event while relishing presentations from other Guest speakers, especially the would-be finalists of 2024 AMSAY Conference Speech-Making Competition, sponsored by Capt Dr Fola Ojutalayo with the sole aim to raise future eloquent speakers like Dr Asoluka and others.
