Esther Akitoye Wins FOMI Popularity Test With 56% Votes As Stella Bassey Follows At 39%

By Platform Reporters | Lagos

The race for the Face of Maritime International (FOMI) Season 11 looks like a two horse battle after a pulsating 3 Week of voting as Esther Akitoye (CCN 007) surged to a commanding lead with 56% of votes, thereby emerging winner of the Popularity Test Result released on Sunday.

Akitoye, a 19 years old indigene of Lagos state who has consistently shown strong fan support, now sits clear at the top of the contestant chart, opening a 17-point gap over her closest rival.

In second place is Stella Bassey (CCN 010) with 39%, maintaining her position as the major challenger in the contest.

Adejoke Adebayo (CCN 003) holds third place with 16%, while Ifeoluwa Ige (CCN 001) follows in fourth with 7%.

The rest of the chart is as follows:

5. Rokibat Olaoye (005) – 6%

6. Adesewa Odunewu (002) – 5%

7. Chidera Anyaorah (013) – 2.1%

8. Emmanuella Obidigbo (015) – 1.2%

9.Precious Akan (009) – 0.9%

10. Priscillia Nambam (014) – 0.2%

11. Vivian Chibuikem (012) – 0.02%

12. Ayomide Abdulganiyu (008) – 0.02%

The Week 3 result shows a clear separation at the top, with Akitoye and Bassey pulling away from the rest of the pack, while the battle for the middle positions remains tight.

With voting now moving to institutional support stage, supporters of the lower-ranked contestants still have a chance to change the table in the coming weeks.

Organisers of FOMI said the Popularity Test is designed to measure fan engagement and public acceptance ahead of the grand finale, urging fans to keep voting for their favourites through the official channels.

As attention now shifts to the next task known as Influential Test, all eyes will be on whether Akitoye can sustain her momentum in the new task, or if Stella Bassey or any other candidate will take the shine in the Influential Test scheduled to start on Monday, Nov 9 2026.
