Barring last minutes hitches, all is set for the popular Ogadimma Family in Otokwu Mmaku, Awgu LGA of Enugu state to bury Late Mrs Lucy Aku Anikpo who slept in the Lord recently at the age of 76 years.
According to the burial arrangement released by Engr F.O.C Anikpo on behalf of the family, a copy of which was made available to PLATFORMS REPORTERS, the wake-keep would hold at the Ogadimma Family compound, Otokwu Mmaku this Friday, December 22nd 2023 starting from 8pm till dawn.
Funeral Mass would hold on Saturday, Dec 23, 2023 at St John’s Catholic Church, Otokwu Mmaku by 10am to be followed by interment; whereas funeral reception would take place at Mmaku High School Football field immediately after internment.
This is even as Thanksgiving Mass would also hold at St John’s Catholic Church, Otokwu Mmaku on Sunday, December 24, 2023 during 8am Mass.
Until her death, Mrs Lucy Aku Anikpo, Nee Obasi, popularly known as ‘Ijele Nwanyi’ (Gentle Warrior) was a retired primary school teacher and headmistress. She also held several leadership positions amongst the womenfold in Otokwu Mmaku.
PLATFORM REPORTERS gathered that since her death, condolence messages have been pouring in to the Anikpo’s family from all and sundry.
Late Lucy Anikpo was survived by children and grandchildren, including brothers, sisters and other relations who mourn her.
