The immediate past President of Women’s International Shipping and Trading Association, Nigerian Chapter known as WISTA Nigeria, Mrs Eunice Ezeoke has been honoured as the Afro Caribbean Culture Ambassador.
PLATFORM REPORTERS gathered that the award honour was conferred on the 2024 Face of Maritime International Role Model Ambassador by the Afro-Caribbean Chamber of Culture and Tourism (ACCCAT) on Thursday in Abuja.
The occasion was The Africa Day 2026 celebration in Abuja, organized by the African Caribbean Chamber of Culture and Tourism (in partnership with organizations like Afreximbank and the African Union Agenda 2063).

The two days event which runs from May 19 to May 20 brings together diplomats, youth, and business leaders under the theme “Unity, Youth, and Sustainable Water for Africa’s Future”.

The Key Event Highlights includes:
- Conference & Seminars: High-level dialogues regarding creative economy development, Pan-African partnerships, and cross-border trade opportunities.
- Main Cultural Event: Features a Red Carpet, African fashion displays, music, and food.
- Live Webinars: Virtual and physical sessions aimed at fostering collaborations between Africa and the Caribbean.

Mrs Eunice Ezeoke has over 3 decades experience in the diverse fields of maritime, shipping, logistics and transport. She retired from the Nigerian Ports Authority in 2020 after 35 years of service as the General Manager, Tariff and Billing.

Shortly before her retirement, she was elected President of WISTA Nigeria in February 2020 and served two terms in office before handing over to the current President of the association, Dr Odunayo Ani in March 2024.


Not restring on her laurels, Mrs Ezeoke is currently the Managing Director of Bono Integrated Logistics.
