Ifeadigo Age Grade, a newly inaugurated vibrant Age Grade in Otokwu Mmaku is set to play an entertainment friendly football match with Ezinwanne Age Grade during this Yuletide season.
The match is slated to kick off by 4pm on December 31, 2023 at Otokwu-Mmaku Football stadium in Awgu LGA of Enugu state, South-East Nigeria.
According to the Chairman of Ifeadigo Age Grade, Mr Chinonso Chukwuande, preparations are in top gear to ensure a hitch-free football game aimed at entertaining Otokwu people and other spectators that would come to watch the match.
Mr Chukwuande further disclosed that the friendly match between Ifeadigo and Ezinwanne Age Grade would be the first of it’s kind in the history of Otokwu Mmaku as far as age grade activities are concerned in the community.
He maintained that “The emphasis on the friendly match is not on who will win, but on the entertainment it offers to the people of Otokwu Mmaku during this Yuletide as , single, married and young members of both age grades will appear on the field of play to test their skills on the beautiful game of football”.
Adding that the game was also a way of announcing the formal establishment of IFEADIGO Age Grade in Otokwu Mmaku as the friendly match would precede the 2nd Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Age Grade.

Recall that Ifeadigo Age Grade started its preliminary meetings in 2022, but was officially established at its 1st AGM held on January 1st, 2023. At it’s 2nd AGM scheduled for 1st January 2024, the age grade hopes to ratify and adopt it’s constitution as a working document before it would approach the leadership of Otokwu-Mmaku community for formal enlisting amongst registered age grades in Otokwu Mmaku.
